Catimor

Also Catimor 129, Catimor T8667, Catimor T5175

Catimor is the family name for descendants of the CIFC cross between Caturra and Timor Hybrid accession 832/1. The lines are compact and productive and carry rust resistance, which is why they underpin national varieties such as Costa Rica 95, Lempira, IHCAFE 90, Oro Azteca, Cauvery and the Gayo varieties. Cup quality is the recurring criticism, attributed to the robusta introgression. Because most Catimors are single-line selections, their resistance can be eroded when new rust races appear.
