Vietnam
Vietnam is the world's second-largest producer and the leading robusta exporter, a position built after land liberalisation in the late 1980s and 1990s. About four-fifths of production is in the Central Highlands, chiefly Đắk Lắk and Gia Lai, while the small arabica share comes from Lâm Đồng and the northern mountains. Coffee is mostly sun-dried and traded on screen size and defect percentages.
