Costa Rica 95

Also CR-95, CR95

Costa Rica 95 is the Catimor released by Costa Rica's coffee institute ICAFE in 1995 to give growers a compact, rust-resistant alternative to Caturra and Catuaí. It is a small, conical tree with short branches and internodes. It travelled widely as a reference Catimor: accession T.08867 'CR-95' is a standard in genetic fingerprinting panels and Catimor-like trees on Haitian farms cluster with it.
