Lempira

Also Lempira 98, IHCAFE Lempira

Lempira is a Catimor selection released by the Honduran coffee institute IHCAFE and one of the three rust-resistant varieties, with Parainema and IHCAFE 90, that carry the Honduran industry. Its resistance comes from the Timor Hybrid parent. In the 29-site international variety trial it grouped with other Catimors in rust response rather than with the most resistant hybrids, consistent with Honduran reports that newer rust races can infect it, so its resistance is recorded here as tolerant rather than complete.
