Also Obatã IAC 1669-20, Obatá, Obatã Vermelho, Obatã Amarelo IAC 4739

Obatã IAC 1669-20 is a compact Brazilian Sarchimor selection released by IAC from the same CIFC-derived population as Tupi, with Catuaí in its background. It is rust-resistant and has been adopted outside Brazil, notably in Costa Rica and Honduras where red and yellow Obatã lines are multiplied. Both 'Obatã IAC 1669-20' and 'Obatã IAC 4739' serve as parents in Brazilian hybrid trials.
