Villa Sarchí

Also Villalobos Bourbon, La Luisa

Villa Sarchí is a compact Bourbon mutation from Costa Rica's West Valley. It matters to modern breeding more than to planting: crossed at CIFC in Portugal with Timor Hybrid accession 832/2 it produced the Sarchimor family, from which Parainema, IAPAR 59, Tupi, Obatã and Marsellesa descend. The original variety remains rust-susceptible and is still grown in Honduras.
