TaCRI improved hybrids (N39-1 to N39-7, KP423-1 to KP423-3, TaCRI F lines)

Also N39-1, N39-2, KP423-1, TaCRI 1F

From 2004 Tanzania released a series of disease-resistant hybrid lines selected by TaCRI from crosses of the traditional N39 and KP423 with resistance donors. The tall N39-1 to N39-7 (clones SC 3 to SC 12) and KP423-1 to KP423-3 (SC 10, 13, 14) carry potential yields of about 1,600 to 2,900 kilograms of clean coffee per hectare without fungicide, roughly double the old varieties, with 62 to 80 percent AA and A grade beans and liquor rated similar to the parents. Compact 'TaCRI F' lines followed. Farmers ranked the new lines above N39 and KP423 for disease tolerance, yield and bean size.
