Marsellesa

Marsellesa is a Sarchimor line fixed by CIRAD and the trading company ECOM in Nicaragua. It is compact and rust-resistant and is the fixed parent of the Starmaya F1 hybrid; the Starmaya paper notes that residual heterozygosity in Marsellesa explains part of the off-type and rust-sporulation frequency seen in Starmaya fields, and that fixing it more fully would lower that incidence.
