Ecuador

Ecuador grows both arabica and robusta from the coastal province of Manabí, where coffee arrived in 1860, to high Andean farms in Loja and Pichincha. Production fell sharply in the 1980s but a specialty revival, marked by the arrival of Cup of Excellence in 2021, has followed. Its equatorial position allows harvesting through much of the year.
