Pacamara

Pacamara combines the compact Pacas mutant with the giant-seeded Maragogipe. The cross was made by the Salvadoran coffee research institute and the variety is now planted across Central America for competition and specialty lots because of its large beans and distinctive cup. In a 29-site international trial it was the most rust-susceptible of the 32 varieties tested, so it needs chemical protection where rust pressure is high.
