IAPAR 59

Also Iapar 59, IPR 59

IAPAR 59 is a Sarchimor selected in Paraná from an F3 generation received from Portugal and released in 1993. It is short-statured with a narrower crown than Catuaí, rust-resistant, and the founding parent of the IPR series of dwarf cultivars (for example IPR Alvorada from IAPAR 59 x Mundo Novo). It is also a common experimental material in Brazilian post-harvest research.
