Uganda

Uganda is best known as a robusta producer, centred on the Lake Victoria basin, and it also produces washed and natural arabica on Mount Elgon and the Rwenzori mountains. Most coffee is processed at home by smallholders, and the country has pioneered 'fine robusta' quality standards since the sector was liberalised in the early 1990s.
