Tabi

Tabi is Cenicafé's tall rust-resistant variety, released in 2002 for traditional, shaded production systems where growers want a Typica- or Bourbon-type tree. It was bred from crosses of Typica and Bourbon with Timor Hybrid 1343 and assembled as a composite of several progenies. The large bean size gives a high share of supremo-grade coffee. Its seed, like that of Castillo and Cenicafé 1, is certified by the Colombian agricultural authority ICA.
