Tim Tim is the Sumatran name for Timor Hybrid material planted directly as a crop in Aceh and North Sumatra after leaf rust devastated the old Typica and S-line plantings. Current Gayo cultivation rests largely on Timor-Hybrid-derived Catimor types, and the hybrid lineage is the basis of the released Gayo 1, Gayo 2 and Gayo 3 varieties.
