Nemaya (rootstock)
Also Nemaya rootstock, T3561 x T3751
Nemaya is a Coffea canephora rootstock variety developed by the Central American PROMECAFE network for grafting arabica onto nematode-resistant roots; its name combines 'nema(tode)' and 'Maya'. Grafting arabica scions onto canephora roots is the standard non-chemical defence against root-knot and root-lesion nematodes. The CIRAD and CATIE descriptions of Nemaya were not reachable for this collection, so only the rootstock purpose is recorded as sourced.
