Yirgacheffe

Yirgacheffe is a small, densely settled highland district inside the wider Sidama zone whose washed coffees became so recognisable that the name was split out and trademarked by the Ethiopian government. Much of the garden coffee grows at or above 2,000 m, and importers single out micro-areas such as Adado, Aricha, Kochere and Konga for distinct cup styles.
