Eugenioides
Coffea eugenioides S. Moore, Nandi coffee
Coffea eugenioides is a diploid species of the East African highlands and one of the two parents of arabica, contributing the subgenome that is not shared with robusta. It is a small, low-yielding tree with small seeds and distinctly low caffeine, and it has appeared in barista competitions grown in Colombia. It is treated as a crop wild relative of top conservation priority. GRIN's common name for it is Nandi coffee; the US germplasm system holds no accessions.
