How this register is built
Most entries come from the USDA Organic INTEGRITY database, the federal register of certified organic operations. A business appears here when its certified products include roasted coffee and its name reads as a coffee business. USDA records no "roaster" category, so the classification is ours, and the location is the certified operation's city, which can be a roasting facility rather than a head office.
The rest are well-known roasters with public company websites, recorded with the city their site gives.
Register-only entries are kept lean: the register facts and nothing more. Entries with their own profile carry founding dates, websites and claims with sources. Nothing here records owners, staff or contact details, and nothing ranks one roaster above another.
Green coffee importers and trade bodies have their own pages.
