Third Wave Water
Third Wave Water was founded in September 2016 in Cedarville, Ohio by roaster Taylor Minor and former aerospace engineer Charles Nick to sell mineral packets that turn distilled water into brewing water with a defined hardness and alkalinity. The pair appeared on Shark Tank in October 2017, launched the Tethys commercial mineralisation system in 2019 and acquired the rival Perfect Coffee Water in 2025. The packets are sold in profiles tuned for filter, espresso, dark roast and cold brew.
