Saeco
Saeco, founded in 1981 in Gaggio Montano near Bologna, is credited with popularising the fully automatic bean-to-cup espresso machine for the home in the 1980s. It bought Gaggia in 1999 and was itself acquired by Philips in 2009, which still sells domestic machines under the Saeco name. Its professional and vending business became part of N&W Global Vending (Evoca Group) in 2017.
