Philips (Saeco)

Philips, the Dutch electronics group founded in 1891, became a coffee-machine maker when it bought Saeco in 2009 and now sells super-automatic machines under both the Philips and Saeco names, together with Senseo and L'OR capsule brewers. The professional side of Saeco, including the Gaggia commercial licence, was sold to Evoca Group in 2017. Philips' domestic appliance business has since been carved out, but the Philips brand continues on coffee machines under licence.
