La Pavoni

La Pavoni was founded in Milan in 1905 by Desiderio Pavoni, whose Ideale was among the first commercial espresso machines; the company later worked with designers such as Gio Ponti (the 1948 La Cornuta) and Bruno Munari. Its small domestic lever machines, the Europiccola and Professional, have been in production since the 1960s and are the archetype of the home lever. Smeg acquired the company in 2019.
