La Cimbali
LaCimbali grew out of the copper workshop Giuseppe Cimbali opened in Milan in 1912 and began making its own espresso machines in 1930; its Pitagora won the Compasso d'Oro in 1962 and the 1969 Superbar was the first super-automatic built for bars. The company is the core of Gruppo Cimbali, which also owns Faema, Casadio and a controlling stake in Slayer, and runs the MUMAC espresso-machine museum in Binasco. Its M-series traditional machines and S-series super-automatics are sold in more than 100 countries.
