Ikawa

IKAWA, whose name means coffee in Kirundi, was conceived by founder Andrew Stordy, who grew up in Burundi, and launched its digital fluid-bed sample roaster in 2013 along with a Kickstarter for a home roaster backed by 366 people. The Pro sample roasters, controlled from an app with shareable profiles, are widely used by green-coffee traders and roasters for evaluating samples. The company designs and manufactures its products in London.
