Ascaso

Ascaso began in Barcelona in 1962, when J. Ascaso, who had moved from a village in Huesca in the 1950s, founded a company to make and distribute spare parts for espresso machines. The family company now builds its own home and commercial machines in Barcelona, including the thermoblock Steel Duo and the retro Dream, as well as the i-mini grinders. It stresses Spanish manufacture and an energy-efficient thermoblock approach as alternatives to Italian boiler machines.
