AeroPress

The AeroPress was invented by Stanford lecturer and Aerobie flying-ring creator Alan Adler, who began work in his Palo Alto garage in 2003 and launched it at Coffee Fest Seattle in 2005. The company, founded in 1984 as Superflight and renamed Aerobie in 2005, became AeroPress Inc. and was bought by Tiny in 2021 with Adler keeping a minority stake. The pressurised immersion brewer spawned a world championship and a family of Go, Clear, XL and Premium variants.
